All Ring Alarm security products and devices are compatible with every Ring Base Station. You can mix or match 1st and 2nd generation Ring Alarm Contact Sensors, Motion Detectors, Range Extenders, Keypads, Cameras, Floodlights, Doorbells, and third-party devices with any Ring Alarm Base Station. These devices are designed to work together. The Ring Alarm 2nd Gen Base Station is designed to trigger the 104dB siren when armed and connected to Ring window/door contact entry sensors and motion PIR detectors. The Base station is the heart of your Ring Alarm Security System and must be attached to contact sensors or motion detectors to be fully functional.
